Vale of Leven Wind Farm
Welcome to the Vale of Leven project website.
Coriolis Energy and ESB are bringing forward proposals to develop a new onshore wind farm in West Dunbartonshire that could deliver enough renewable energy to power over 50,000 homes.
Vale of Leven Wind Farm will be located on rough grazing moorland east of the Vale of Leven area. We are considering a maximum of 10 turbines with an overall capacity of approximately 70 MW.
We will be offering the local community the opportunity to take an ownership stake in the development and seeking to work with local suppliers wherever possible to maximise the economic benefits to the local area. We will look to partner with West Dunbartonshire Council to ensure the project’s environmental and economic benefits stay in the local area
The project will contribute to West Dunbartonshire and Scotland achieving Scotland’s climate change target of net zero emissions by 2045.
